For children it’s a symbol of entering the stage next before adulthood, in most spiritual meanings it’s a symbol of great blessing and promise, and in American culture the number 13 symbolizes adventure and surprise! For J & P, 13 is the start of their lives together.
These high school sweethearts have been together for 13 years and, along with their closest family and friends, said their forever ‘I do’s’ at Winding Hills last weekend. The day was a little rainy but Mother Nature decided to give us a handful of dry minutes for a special couples portrait session after the ceremony. The day was filled with so much love and emotion, both sides of the families were so closely knit that I had a hard time deciphering who belonged to whom! Her uncles gave her away, his uncle was his best man, her mom was her maid of honor, both sets of siblings were each other’s best friends and parted loved ones were honored through jewelry/clothing and remembrances! I guess that’s what 13 years of family gatherings, holidays and special occasions does…it makes you a family, one big loving FAMILY! Enjoy!
